School of Medicine in Katowice School of Medicine in Katowice employs 716 staff members, including 500 academic teachers (36 Professors, 34 PhDs with habilitation , i.e. post-doctorate degree holders, 312 PhDs, 95 physicians, and 23 faculty members with a master’s degree) . The School operates through its 11 Departments of Basic Sciences and 37 Departments of Clinical Sciences, which include 41 clinics and 19 institutes. News

All students who are not EU citizens must get the health insurance and submit the copy of the insurance certificate to the Dean's Office before November 18, 2011. The insurance fee for one academic year (till September 30, 2012) will be deducted from summer semester tuition fee up to 129 Euro or 177 USD.

 Dates for the upcoming NBME Examination:

  • Comprehensive Clinical Science Subject Examination (for Step 2 CK) - January 13, 2012
  • Comprehensive Basic Science Subject Examination (for Step 1 CK) - December 9, 2011

 Time: 8.00 am in US / 2.00 pm in Poland

 

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Please print out, complete and submit
NBME Registration Form
and process it along with the exam fee as instructed in the form.
Upon submission of the form and payment receipt you will be issued NBME Scheduling Permit
which is necessary to sit for the exam.
 

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Students who don't bring NBME Scheduling Permit signed by appropriate authority to the exam site
will not be allowed to take the exam

Registration deadlines:

  • Comprehensive Clinical Science Subject Examination (for Step 2 CK) - December 16, 2011
  • Comprehensive Basic Science Subject Examination (for Step 1 CK) - November 11, 2011

Fees for the exams:

  • Comprehensive Clinical Science Subject Examination - 48 USD
  • Comprehensive Basic Science Subject Examination - 45 USD
